I know it’s been a while since I started this blog and that I haven’t posted much. Well folks, that’s about to change. I’ve been hard at work creating, teaching, and taking photographs, so I have lots to share.

The picture above is the work in progress of my newest painting “Step Back - Slowly”. I came across this photo of the mountain lion looking really “upset”. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to create something out of it.

This painting will be one of two of my paintings that will be displayed at the Texas Capitol Rotunda in the Texas Stampede Show from February 15-27. This show is hosted by the Insight Gallery of Fredricksburg, TX. I am really excited about this opportunity!

Alligator Lizard Update! I’ve spotted four alligator lizards in the greenbelt already this year. In the middle of January no less! Below are some photos of the little buggers. I’d also like to share that the “Lizards of the American Southwest Field Guide” just came out and Dr. Phil Ralides and I are co-authors of the Texas Alligator Lizard section along with Dr. Harry W. Greene. Pick up your copy today and maybe I’ll autograph it for ya!

Thanks to my daughter Jessica, I am going to keep this page updated with my artwork and wildlife trips and findings. Hopefully there will be lots to post with with my upcoming trip to Big Bend, and my occasional hikes down to the GreenBelt in search for the mysterious Alligator Lizards with Dr. Phil Ralidis. I have been producing a lot of wildlife/landscape paintings for the last 5 years. Pictures and more will come soon!
